Continuing Education Credit for this program is provided by The Awake Network. The Awake Network is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. The Awake Network maintains responsibility for this program and content.

In addition to psychologists, some state boards also accept self-study courses from APA-approved providers for counselors, marriage and family therapists (MFTs), addictions professionals, and social workers. Please note that your state licensing board determines whether home study is an acceptable form of continuing education, as well as which types of credit are eligible. We encourage you to review your state’s current rules and regulations to confirm acceptance. Healthy Boundaries From the Inside Out awards 6 home study credits to participating professionals. Participants must complete the full course and complete a post test with a score of 80% or higher to be eligible for credit. No partial credit will be given.

About the Instructors

Jordan Quaglia, PhD, is an author, professor, and public speaker whose work bridges cutting-edge science with contemplative practice. He’s the author of From Self-Care to We-Care: The New Science of Mindful Boundaries and Caring from an Undivided Heart (Shambhala, 2025), and the developer of the Mindful Boundaries Method featured in this course. He is the founder and director of Weve Institute, the educational home for his courses, trainings, and applied work. He also serves as Associate Professor of Psychology at Naropa University, where he directs the Cognitive and Affective Science Lab and conducts research on mindfulness, compassion, and boundaries. Clarissa Cigrand, PhD, LPC, is an Assistant Professor at Naropa University in the Mindfulness-Based Counseling program, where she specializes in counselor development, contemplative pedagogy, and liberatory education. She is also a licensed professional counselor, researcher, and content expert with the Awake Network. Clarissa’s presence in this course brings a grounded, heart-centered perspective to boundaries that honors both inner wisdom and embodied connection.

CE Eligible Content

This program is approved for 6 CE hours. Only the presentation, demonstration, and experiential exercises led by Jordan Quaglia and Clarissa Cigrand are eligible for CE credit. Participation in supplemental materials, is not required or eligible for CE credit.

Dates

This is a recorded course available for asynchronous learning. CE credits are available from 8/10/26 - 8/10/27.  Program participants have ongoing access to the recording and workshop materials.

Refunds and Cancellations

Refund Policy

The $27 continuing education add-on is eligible for a full refund within 14 days of purchase, provided that the CE post-assessment has not been accessed or submitted and a CE certificate has not been issued. Once the post-assessment has been accessed or a certificate has been issued, the CE add-on becomes non-refundable. Refund eligibility for the CE add-on is separate from the refund policy for the course itself.

Target Audience

Healthy Boundaries From the Inside Out is intended for mental health professionals interested in developing their clinical skills. It is appropriate for Psychologists, Psychiatrists, Mental Health Counselors, Social Workers, and Marriage and Family Therapists. The instructional level is intermediate. The materials presented in this course may include therapeutic interventions and modalities that extend beyond the authorized scope of practice for certain professions. As a licensed professional, you are responsible for reviewing your profession’s scope of practice and ensuring that all services you provide are consistent with applicable laws, ethical standards, and licensing requirements.

Learning Objectives

·      Identify common misconceptions about boundaries and describe how a mindful, relational approach differs from rigid or purely self-protective models.

·      Apply the Mindful Boundaries Method™ to clarify when a boundary may be needed and determine what form it should take.

·      Use the Mindful Boundaries Method core practices to formulate clear, caring, and context-sensitive boundary actions and communication.

·      Distinguish between steady commitment to a boundary and flexible strategies for maintaining or adapting it over time.

·      Apply boundary principles within therapeutic and other helping relationships while considering role clarity, ethical responsibilities, and the needs of all involved.
